The NBI lab is comprised of interdisciplinary researchers committed

to applying nanotechnology to develop solutions that benefit all communities and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers. We do this through innovative research, collaborative teamwork, and effective communication.

 

In our lab, we (1) functionalize nanoparticles and 2D platforms to create integrated sensors for high-throughput biomedical and environmental applications; (2) design and evaluate biosensors to detect multifactorial diseases, such as cancer, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease; (3) enhance the diagnostic and therapeutic potential of extracellular vesicles by imparting control and dynamic properties using nanoengineering.
